I have noticed that when taking Lunesta that I have done an activity and not remembered it the next day. I used to drink alcohol to excess; but, I have stayed completely sober for over a year. I mention this because when taking Lunesta I have sleep-walked and sleep-eaten and the effect reminds me of having a black-out when being drunk. When taking Lunesta, I have to remember to get in bed rather quickly; or, I'll fall asleep in the chair or on the sofa. The drug works very well; however, it must be used with caution.
When i first began taking lunesta to sleep, i was extremely unaware of it fast acting formula. I've spent nights creating art on the walls, cooking meals, blogging incredibly private information, leaving voicemails and i even tried to cut off my own toe.(no joke)I would definatly advise you get yourself into bed within the first 15 minutes and try not to get up. You know it's taking effect when whatever you're doing is just too much fun.

I take lunesta &I'm 16 years old. This is scary shit to read, I mean I don't want to be up at late hours slicing off my toes. Does doing things without remembering happen A LOT? Cause I take it &then go about doing things until I feel sleepy. Which sometimes it doesn't make mee. Helpthanks(3
I just took a 3mg sample of Lunesta that my doctor gave me. Took it about 30 min ago. I'm still awake, but all the words on this thread are moving and squiggling around like crazy. Literally they are all moving around like they dancing to music or something. I think its time for me to go to bed y'all.
I have taken Lunesta for 2 years. I have only had one incident that I don't remember. I always, and I mean always, get in bed immediately. Except for that one time. I took one and sat on the couch to watch football with my husband and son. I woke up the next morning in my bed, with no idea how I got there. Apparently, my husband had to put me in bed because I wouldn't walk. Other than that I think Lunesta is awesome. Just go to bed!!! I don't know why anyone would take it and then hang out with friends or try to do things.
I have been on Lunesta 3 mg for almost 4 years now for chronic insomnia. I have not experienced any memory problems. I do, however, take the medication and go directly to bed due to the visual hallucinations I experience: like pictures moving,my flowers appear to be blowing in a breeze, when clearly they are not. I think of it as the butterly on the commercial. This side effect is not that bad for me that I would give up taking the Lunesta since it does help me to fall asleep and stay alseep, when other prescribed sleeping aids did not.
I also take Lunesta and im 16. I normally just take it because I have troubles sleeping. A couple weeks ago, I took one (then forgot I took one) at about 7 p.m. I went out with friends to a local bar and never really remembered what happened after i left my house. I woke up in a 32 year old womens house 17 miles away. She said I blacked out and she worked in the bar. She took me with her because she didnt want me to stay the night in the bar. I have never taken Lunesta since. Its a crazy drug, and it causes some pretty weird unexplained events.
