Mixed Feelings about Cymbalta
Mixed Reviews, Male, Diagnosis - Depression, Other Meds - Klonopin (for panic attacks) and Lamictal (as a mood stabalizer)

Over the years, I have tried several SSRI medicatios for depression and anxiety/panic with no success. I had some success with the SNRI known as Effexor but then it lost its effectiveness after about 6 to 8 months. My doctor prescribed Cymbalta, but not as a first choice because it has warnings about liver failure. I had to get bloodwork done, and it showed no elevated issues with my liver, so the Cymbalta was finally prescribed what I think is sort of like a last resort. I have been on it for a month. At first, I had a couple side effects -- Minor nausea and a bit of trouble falling asleep. The nausea went away, but I still seem to be much lighter of a sleeper on Cymbalta. This was pretty much the same thing that happend with me when I was on Effexor /a.k.a. Venlafaxine in generic/

So, it has been 4 weeks with some progress. I'm willing to give it some more time to get full effects, but I do not know if I could do it without also taking the Klonopin. I notice the Klonopin seems to keep be compliant with the antidepressants that effect the serotonin areas of the brain.

Cymbalta
Positive Reviews, Male, Diagnosis - depression & anxiety, Other Meds - zopiclone

I started on 60 mg cymbalta for a few years it worked ok. Then I hit another depression and increased to 90 mg. On 90 mg I was always thirsty and sweat more. I am back on 60mg and everything is going ok. I think there is a slight change (maybe even more than slight) is sexual function including orgasm since starting cymbalta.
