My name is Andrea, I have been trying to lose the weight I gained during my pregnancy three years ago.A whopping 120 pounds!! I got pregnant and quit smoking, only to be replaced by eating ...A lot of eating.Well I have been on Adipex for almost four months now and I am very proud to say I have lost 27 pounds so far.I started taking them for an easy weight loss but soon realized that for permanent results I needed to change the way I thought about food.Oh and exercise.I can honestly say that I have had no adverse side effects and my blood preasure has stayed the same.the only down side to the adipex I have found so far is the doctors visit every 30 days, and in my opinion the pills are a little expensive too. My plan is to only be on the adipex for another 2 months and then continuing the weight loss on my own. I really feel like once you start seeing results and get excited about the weight loss then you should be able to achieve success without the help of these pills.I still have about 80 more pounds to go but getting this jump start is great.I would only recommend using Adipex if you are severely overweight. Exercise and watching what you eat is a must, and do not just depend on the adipex or you are sure to gain it all back just as quickly.
I had been on Adipex, generic, 7 years ago. Until the last year, I haven't had a weight problem, but due to inactivity and taking prednisone, I packed on 30 lbs. in a very short time, like 6 months. At bedtime, if I told you the amount of junk that I ate, you wouldn't believe it. I carry so much shame that I slip around to eat mouthfuls and mouthfuls of fudge stripes and chex cereal bars. 4 and 5 at a time and still would eat more if I had the privacy. It is a craving, a hunger that only God understands. I have prayed diligently about this and noticed the horrible change in my body shape, the dents in my flip flops, honestly, from being so heavy on my feet. I made the appointment with my doc, she suggested phentermine 37.5 once a day and only for 3 months, cut and dried. Yesterday morning, I took my first one and I had to make myself eat dinner last night. I ate very small servings of three vegetables and water. Last night is the first time I haven't eaten at bedtime in years. My mom would always say, eat a little bit of something before you lay down and you will rest better. I was raised that way and that pattern has followed me through the years and I am 55. I weigh 177. Last night I couldn't have eaten at bedtime if it had been crammed into my mouth. I know this is going to be a success. Now , I must go to the grocery store, so that when I am hungry, it is the proper food, not some pre-prepared, full of fat and calorie food. I don't want to give up my diet cokes or sugar free small Red Bull. I feel blessed to have a jump start. I purchased glycerin suppositories, due to the fact alot of people get constipated from adipex. A pharmacist also told me that I could take the new drug Alli, which excretes fat through your bowel movement, each time you have over l5 grams of fat. I plan to do that, see if it works, versus the suppositories. I feel with Adipex and Alli, {Alli has no stimulants, it just kicks out any fat over 15 grams by stimulating a bowel movement}, I think its a win win situation. I will give you a report in one week.
I have been on Adipex for a month and i have lost 18 pounds. I love them!!!! No side effects for me but every one is different.
